Ibn Rushd (Ab l-Wald Muammad Ibn Amad Ibn Rud; 14 April 1126 11 December 1198), often Latinized as Averroes (English: /vroiz/), was a Muslim Andalusian[1] polymath and jurist who wrote about many subjects, including philosophy, theology, medicine, astronomy, physics, psychology, mathematics, Islamic jurisprudence and law, and linguistics. The author of more than 100 books and treatises,[2][3] his philosophical works include numerous commentaries on Aristotle, for which he was known in the western world as The Commentator and Father of rationalism.[4] Ibn Rushd also served as a chief judge and a court physician for the Almohad Caliphate.

1:Gone too from the world, Averroes and Moses Maimonides, ~ James Joyce
2:Knowledge is the conformity of the object and the intellect. ~ Averroes
3:Women should be treated as human beings, not as domestic animals. ~ Averroes
4:Ignorance leads to fear, fear leads to hate, and hate leads to violence. This is the equation. ~ Averroes
5:An army of philosophers would not be sufficient to change the nature of error and to make it truth. ~ Averroes
6:All sciences originated among the sons of Israel, the reason being the existence of prophecy among them which made their perfection in the sciences amazing. ~ Averroes
7:El temor de lo crasamente infinito, del mero espacio, de la mera materia, tocó por un instante a Averroes. Miró el simétrico jardín; se supo envejecido, inútil, irreal. ~ Jorge Luis Borges
8:One of the reasons my name is Rushdie is that my father was an admirer of Ibn Rush'd, the 12th century Arab philosopher known as Averroes in the West. In his time, he was making the non-literalist case for interpreting the Koran. ~ Salman Rushdie
9:It is not growing fanaticism, but growing democracy, that causes my troubles. Did you ever read the life of Averroes? He was protected by kings, but hated by the mob, which was fanatical. In the end, the mob won. Free thought has always been a perquisite of aristocracy. ~ Bertrand Russell
~ Stanis aw Lem

Polytunnel - A polytunnel (also known as a polyhouse, hoop greenhouse or hoophouse, grow tunnel or high tunnel) is a tunnel typically made from steel and covered in polyethylene, usually semi-circular, square or elongated in shape. The interior heats up because incoming solar radiation from the sun warms plants, soil, and other things inside the building faster than heat can escape the structure. Air warmed by the heat from hot interior surfaces is retained in the building by the roof and wall.

Row cover - In agriculture and gardening, row cover is any transparent or semi-transparent, flexible material, like fabric or plastic sheeting, used as a protective covering to shield plants, usually vegetables, primarily from the undesirable effects of cold and wind, and also from insect damage.[1] In addition to reducing the drying effect of wind, row cover can provide a limited amount of warming by the same effect that cold frames, greenhouses, and polytunnels produce, creating a microclimate for the plants.
