*** NEWFULLDB 2.4M ***

1:There is no map that can show you how to leap. The map for this is somewhere in our own imagination. ~ Swami Paramananda
2:Evil can never survive, though for a time it may seem to triumph. It is only a question of our endurance and patience. ~ Swami Paramananda
3:True meditation gives us, as it were, wings for flight to a higher realm and thus detaches us from terrestrial fetters. ~ Swami Paramananda
4:Self-realisation means that we have been consciously connected with our source of being. Once we have made this connection, then nothing can go wrong. ~ Swami Paramananda
5:We become our own enemy when we are thrown out of balance by anger, hatred, grief, or any other intense emotion. We are for the time being obsessed by something alien. ~ Swami Paramananda
6:True self-reliance does not mean reliance on one's physical strength; it means reliance on something mightier, something which is less perishable... It means trusting in the spiritual. ~ Swami Paramananda
7:There are certain things that have universal attributes, like music. Something of greater magnitude is conveyed by them. They connect us with the universal storehouse of life and knowledge. ~ Swami Paramananda
8:/Farsi & Turkish Every part of you has a secret language your hands and your feet say what you've done and every need brings in what's needed pain bears its cure like a child [2089.jpg] -- from Secret Language: Rumi A Celebration in Song (Music CD), by Ramananda

~ Jalaluddin Rumi, Secret Language

9:Our minds must meditate on some object. According to what he thinks, a man can create an atmosphere of radiance, exuberance, buoyancy; and this brings joy. Or he can carry gloom with him. It is a matter of the habit of thought. We must build up our own life by our thoughts. There are many ways by which we can do this. Art, music, even manual work, all can bring ripening to the soul. ~ Swami Paramananda
10:/Farsi & Turkish No end, no end to the journey no end, no end never how can the heart in love ever stop opening if you love me, you won't just die once in every moment you will die into me to be reborn Into this new love, die your way begins on the other side become the sky take an axe to the prison wall, escape walk out like someone suddenly born into color do it now [2089.jpg] -- from Secret Language: Rumi A Celebration in Song (Music CD), by Ramananda

~ Jalaluddin Rumi, No end to the journey

11:O my brother, where shall I go, why should I wander? The pleasure I seek is in my very own home. My mind will not stray, for my heart is now steadfast. One day, a yearning arose in my heart, and I went with sandal shavings and essence and so many perfumes, so I could worship Brahma in the temple. But then the guru told me that the Brahma I sought dwelt in my very own heart. Wherever I went I met only water and stone -- but You remain all-pervasive and forever unchanging. I read and searched all the Vedas and the Puranas; I go to them if I do not find Him here. O my true guru, I am your handmaid, your living sacrifice, for you have cut away all my hardened doubts, all my great fears. Ramananda's lord is the all-pervasive Brahma -- a guru's word can destroy a million sins. [2184.jpg] -- from Songs of the Saints from the Adi Granth, Translated by Nirmal Dass

~ Ramananda, Raga Basant

  M. stood there speechless and looked on. It was as if he were standing where all the holy places met and as if Sukadeva himself were speaking the word of God, or as if Sri Chaitanya were singing the name and glories of the Lord in Puri with Ramananda, Swarup, and the other devotees.
