When we speak of the immaturity or the maturity
of ZO, the main point relates to the governing of the
world. In other words, ZOs condition is to effect both
mature and immature actions on this plane. To illustrate:
at the time of exile, the world is governed from the
mature stage of ZO, according to that period when he
is nourished by his Mother, while at the time of redemp
tion, the world will be supervised by ZO in a mature
condition. A perfect government will issue from him.

But the prevalence of immaturity or maturity, or
elevations on particular days (even at the present time)
does not indicate that the world has reached a superior
form of government. If that truly were the case, the
entire condition of the world would be altered. The fact
is that although the elevation wrought in these periods
rules over all the particulars concerned, it is still not in
complete dominion, but develops rather to meet the
occasion. Similarly, the stars rule according to the dif
ferent hours of the day and night, while the particular
bounty which they bestow at all times is only received
by that which is immediately subject to them; yet all
creation is benefitted by this type of rule. This special

bestowal does not actually change the conditions of
existence, although it brings greater elevation and estab
lishes a certain degree of sanctity during the reign.

The same principle applies where prayers effect a
rule of either immaturity or maturity, for these are
nothing but intermitent emendations. They are in
capable of establishing a lasting government of maturity.
However even these temporary emendations are neces
sary for the daily renewal of bounty, and when this act
is accomplished ZO reverts to its normal stage of gov-
rnment. However, when the heavenly government will
be established in actual maturity, Israel will be redeemed.
